# Introduction
This article will explain what a Public Pricing Plan is and how it can be utilized.
# What is a Public Pricing Plan?
A Public Pricing Plan is an API subscription plan that would be displayed on the API Portal. It can be viewed and subscribed by developers who have access to the API.
There are at most 5 API public pricing plans for each API - Starter, Lite, Pro, Advanced and Premium. Different portal plans will support different number of API public pricing plans, please refer to the following table or visit FabriXAPI Portal Plans (opens new window) for details.

# Why use a Public Pricing Plan?
The Public Pricing Plan is the best option when it is optimized for general developers and is suitable for everyone.
# How to set up a Public Pricing Plan?
You can set up a Public Pricing Plan with the following steps:
Go to Edit API and select the API that you want to add an unlisted plan for.
Switch to the Plans tab to edit plan details.
Click on Public Plans button, which should be selected by default.
There should be three Public Plans created, you can edit the plans by clicking Edit button
Toggle the option of Enable Plan to Enabled, and fill in the information of Public Plan. For detailed information about the configurable features, please refer to What Can Be Configured for an API Subscription Plan?.
Don't forget to click on the Save button in the lower right corner after editing.
After filling in the details and enabling the Public Plan, the plan will be listed in your API. Please note that any logged-in users could subscribe to the plan with the URL.
