# Can Providers Remove a Subscription Plan?
Provider cannot remove an API Subscription Plan , but providers can "Disable" a plan to make it not available for new subscription.
When a plan is disabled, the plan would not appear on the API Portal anymore, so there will be no new subscriber.
While for the existing active subscriptions, the subscriptions will continue to be renewed and would not be terminated by default. Active subscribers will not be notified regarding the plan disablement.
